It should be noted that while there are specific topless/nude beaches in Tuscany and all over Italy, women can go topless on any beach.

I would like to thank Gail Hecko of GAIL'S GREAT ESCAPES – "Small group tours to a Medieval village in the Tuscany countryside of Italy" for suggesting this topic.

Keep in mind that you do NOT have to fly in and out of the same airport when you choose to fly into or out of Italy. If flying in from the States, you may want to fly into Rome (FCO) but depart from another airport. The rationale for this is not to backtrack halfway across Italy to return to your arrival location to fly back to the States. This is called open-jaw booking. Usually there is not a drop-off charge for returning the rental car to a different location than the original pick-up location. If you are traveling by train, you do not have to travel back to the originating train station. This will give you more time to enjoy Italy than either driving or taking the train.

For dual citizens and other visitors traveling to the USA without an existing USA health plan, you will need to arrange for medical coverage prior to your departure. Medical coverage may be part of a travel insurance plan or be purchase separately.

NOTE: While traveling in the USA and if you need to go to a doctor/dentist to receive medical treatment or go to a hospital, you will be expected to pay in full for any and all treatments plus any medications and prescriptions.

Remember you get what you pay for. Be sure to checkout the company you are buying the travel /trip/medical insurance policy. Check to see if there are any residency requirements from any of the above companies before you buy.
